Never one to back away from challenges, Spire Group’s Director David Tang has always balanced character and grit while playing a dual role in his business - providing for his clients all whilst being a dedicated mentor to his team. His dream, building up a world-class organisation consisting of professional, competent financial advisers that can help people achieve their aspirations and enhance each other’s lives.
David Tang graduated in 2000 from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts & Social Sciences majoring in Sociology. In his 21 years in the wealth management scene, David has been in banks, such as Deutsche Private Bank & Standard Chartered. Insurance firms such as Great Eastern Life, as well as, Financial Advisory firms (FAs) such as Professional Investment Advisory Services (PIAS) and finexis. In 2017, David decided to move to Synergy Financial Advisers (SFA) and assumed the position of Director of the Spire Group.
As a child, David grew up in a modest HDB flat. Life was not always rosy and comfortable for him but his persistent attitude to constantly do better propelled him towards achieving greater heights.
An initiator and self-motivated leader, his extensive years of experience in financial advisory came with many sharp bends, pitfalls and seemingly impossible obstacles. Basing these situations on past experiences, David’s philosophy to get by is simple, “to be rational in identifying the issue, empathetic when creating a solution and reflective after implementing it”.
Being an extroverted social butterfly, David enjoys spending his weekends playing football with friends and catching up over food and drinks. A musical artist at heart, he describes karaoke nights to be one of his best avenues to vent out stress and clear his mind. David also appreciates spending quality time with his family.
2021 has been a breakthrough year for David he achieved the 2 x Qualifier & Life member for the Million Dollar Round Table award (MDRT). Congratulations!
